Hola! We're getting ready for summer and expanding our hours. Come on down to Houghton and join us. The Cafe is open Monday through Friday and on sunny Weekends. Base hours are 10am to 3pm, with extended hours on nice days. Please call ahead to see if we're open. As it gets warmer our hours will extend into the evening. For kayak rentals you'll need to venture across the lake to our University Dist. location, but the Paddle Club plans to rent Stand-Up Paddleboards at Houghton Beach this summer.

Welcome Spring! We've been waiting! We are now open Wednesday, Thursday and Friday each week from 10am to 2pm, and open additional days weather permitting. Call ahead with your order if you would like, our number is 425-822-2896. We are working to bring more fun afternoon events and menu items to you this year... stay tuned. We'll be extending our hours further in May and June. Please let us know if you have any suggestions on the best way for us to serve you... that's why we're here!

Thank you everyone for a great summer! With summer ending we are changing our hours to match demand and daylight hours. We will be open only three days a week this fall, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday from 11AM to 4PM. Come join us for lunch, but if the weather is particularly unfavorable give us a call to see if we are open. Let us know how these hours work for you, it's an experiment to try to make it viable to stay open through the fall. Thanks!

After a wet spring we are open and ready for summer. Come visit us for lunch or an early dinner! We've got great tacos, sandwiches and ice-cream choices, along with a full espresso menu! Please welcome our newest staff members, Jordan and Natasha! They are teamed up with our two Joses and Angie to serve you all season!

Hey Agua Verde lunch goers, it's a new year for us here on the lake. Look forward to some new menu items and the return of the sun and longer hours in just a few short months. In the mean time we're open and ready to serve hot drinks and food! Please welcome Jose, our new star staff member. Kristi was accepted to graduate school in California, we'll miss her! Anna and Angie are still with us going strong!

Hola!

We are adjusting our fall hours to fit the end of daylight savings time. We will now be open at 8AM for coffee and breakfast burritos and lunch items by 10AM. As it is getting dark we'll be closing at 4PM during the week. Weekends we will still open at 10AM, but close by dusk. Come visit!

Howdy hungry lunch crew! It stopped raining for a bit and we are still here! We have a nice big tent set up to keep our guests sheltered while you order up some 'comida mexicana.' We're working to get a new roof on the building and hopefully a nice permanent arbor out front to improve the location for everyone who wants to hang out at Houghton, year around. We're also getting some good soups lined up for these colder months. See you there!

Hey Agua Verde Este Fans!

We're announcing new hours for this fall, we'll open at 10 AM each day, and closing at 6 PM on weekdays, and 7 PM on weekends. Our hours will be somewhat weather dependent, if it's really nasty out call ahead to see if we're open.

We do have a large tent arriving soon that will provide great shelter from the elements and a nice spot to sit and enjoy your lunch! Look for it next week! Thank you all for your business this summer, we hope to have a great fall serving up tasty food for you as well!

We are proud and excited about our new satellite, Agua Verde Este, located at Kirkland’s Houghton Beach Park on the shore of Lake Washington, just 1 mile north of I-520 and 2 miles south of downtown on Lake Washington Blvd. NE.

The Secret of Kirkland is about to be discovered.

Your love of ‘Comida Fresca’ or Fresh Food, has been our specialty at Agua Verde Café for the past 11 ½ years on Portage Bay in the U. District. Natural meats, fish harvested in a sustainable manner and organic and local ingredients make us a hot spot for people in the know. And now this is available in a public park concession for park picnics and take-out dining.

Our food is prepared daily with love and care and more secrets than Lupe and the Reyna family care to divulge at this time. Please come and taste our Tacos, Quesadillas, Tortas and our very own Mangodilla, available with added meats if you like. You will agree this “is not” your typical concession.

My love for the Latin culture has changed my life over the years. Each new day is an opportunity to be creative, work hard and make people smile. Many people have said ‘being at Agua Verde is like being on vacation right here at home.’ This is true even when the sun is not shining.

It is our goal to bring this love and creative spark to your table or beach blanket. You bring the appetite.
